Internships
Declaration Editing & Design offers four internship opportunities per year. The internships are designed for degree-seeking students interested in work as freelance editors. The duties of a Declaration intern include:

•Serving as the project manager for three issues of Four and Twenty, our short form poetry journal

•Updating daily content on our company blog, Twitter feed, and Facebook pages

•Writing and editing both in-house and marketing documents
-
•Assisting our staff with current projects
-
•Assisting our staff at marketing events
-
•Completing one or two special freelance-related projects
Our interns can expect to work 10—12 hours per week over the course of three months. Most work may be done from home. The position is unpaid.
Ideal interns should:

•Have a desire to work as a freelance editor
-
•Have both strong writing and copyediting skills
-
•Be versed in The Chicago Manual of Style

•Be familiar with Microsoft Word’s Track Changes function
-
•Have regular access to reliable internet service
Priority consideration is given to students seeking degrees in the field of book publishing,
